Jhalda: HC seeks case diary and probe report

Kolkata: Calcutta High Court on Tuesday directed Jhalda Police to submit the case diary in municipality councillor Tapan Kandu’s murder case and file a brief report on the progress of investigation during the next hearing on April 1, reports Subrata Chattoraj.
Justice Rajasekhar Mantha, while responding to a writ petition by the victim’s widow, Purnima Kandu, praying for handing over the investigation to CBI observed that the investigation was at an initial stage and it was too early to consider the prayer for transferring the probe to CBI.
