JEE Main: West Bengal topper among 43 in country to get 100 percentile

A student of DPS Ruby Park, Soham Das, has topped from Bengal with 100 percentile in the JEE (Main), the session 2 results of which were declared on Saturday by National Testing Agency (NET).

KOLKATA: A student of DPS Ruby Park, Soham Das, has topped from Bengal with 100 percentile in the JEE (Main), the session 2 results of which were declared on Saturday by National Testing Agency (NET).
Another boy from the same school, Md Sahil Akhtar, is in the top five in the category ‘Person with Disability’ across the country with 99.9 percentile.
Das is among 43 students from across the country who got 100 percentile in JEE (Main). Soham scored 100 percentile in the January edition.
He is the only from Bengal on the list of 65 state toppers across the country. Soham has a dream of studying computer science at IIT Bombay and he started preparing for cracking JEE advanced to achieve his dream.
Akhtar, who suffers from locomotive disorder, said: “I had anticipated for long that I would be getting a decent rank. Although I am appearing for JEE (advanced), I may not pursue engineering. I am planning to study in the US as I am more inclined to research.”
