Stressing the importance of partnering with India, Low referred to the one between
Oxford University
and
Serum Institute of India. "We want to change people's lives for the better. India has got a large dynamic and incredibly talented life science resource and so does the UK. It makes no sense for us not to work together," said Low. Exchange of ideas on health science researches took place through such conferences, said Gautam Paul, pro-VC at Kalyani University. Women's empowerment was stressed at the conference attended by 200 scientists.
