Kolkata: The West Bengal Heritage Commission (WBHC) installed a blue plaque at Raja Subodh Mullick Square on Monday for its rich heritage. The installation took place in the presence of mayor Firhad Hakim and WBHC chairman Shuvaprasanna Bhattacharjee. Hakim said, “It is important to document the rich cultural history of the city so that future generations become aware of it.” Shuvaprasanna said that though it is well known that Wellington square was renamed as Raja Subodh Mullick Square, very few people are aware of the rich history connected with the park.
