HC quashes charge sheet against BJP neta

Kolkata: The Calcutta High Court quashed the charge sheet and proceedings initiated by Bishnupur Police against Abhijit Das, the BJP candidate from Diamond Harbour in 2014, reports Subrata Chattoraj. Lipika Mandal, the complainant, had alleged that Das had been in a relationship with her since July 2012 and had promised to marry her. Bishnupur Police initiated a case against Das in 2013 and submitted a charge sheet in 2018.
