HC: Elect Jhalda civic body chair

Kolkata: Calcutta High Court on Thursday directed election of the Jhalda municipality chairperson, a few days after the post became vacant following Shila Chatterjee’s removal. Justice Rajasekhar Mantha directed three councillors to serve a notice for the election within seven days and directed the Jhalda SDO to take charge of the municipality in the meantime.tnn
