Government needs to step up healthcare sector

, 2017, with the topic as to which one is more useful for welfare healthcare, grant or investment.

The eminent speakers included Liver foundation secretary

Dr Abhijit Chowdhury

, cardiac surgeon Kunal Sarkar, retired combat pilot Arup Raha, environmentalist Tushar Kanjilal and others.

Dr Abhijit Chowdhury said that the government of the country needs to regulate the private sector in healthcare. “The government of the country needs to control the aggressiveness of private investments in healthcare,” he said.

Dr Kunal Sarkar said that the country needs to have a practical, pragmatic and clear health care policy. “ Accessibility to healthcare system among the 120 crore population of the country is a prime issue. The government needs to improve manpower and infrastructure,” he said.
