Girls cut their hand to save goat in West Bengal

KOLKATA: Bringing to life Rajshekhar Basu's Lombokarno, two West Bengal sisters have also set an example of humanity.
To save their six-month-old goat, who was sold to a butcher by their father, the sisters from Jhargram, Uma and Lakshmi stopped taking food and even tried to cut their hand.
Uma has passed her Class 12 and Lakshmi is studying in 8th standard. The girls spend most of their time playing with the goat.
