Fusion CX acquires US firm for Rs 105 crore
Kolkata: Fusion CX, an ITeS company based in Kolkata, has acquired US firm Sequential Technology International (STI) at an investment of nearly Rs 105 crore through organic and inorganic routes.This was Fusion CX's third acquisition in the past nine months after it acquired Belize-based RCC BPO and US-based S4 Communications since last June. The company, which started as a small call centre at Park Circus 21 years ago and gradually expanded to business processing management and customer experience solutions, acquired 14 firms worldwide since 2008. Currently, its annual turnover is Rs 2,000 crore."We are planning to raise the revenue to Rs 4,400 crore by 2030 with the help of acquisitions. We are looking at 30% year-on-year growth in business," said Pankaj Dhanuka, co-founder, MD and CEO of Fusion CX."The revenue of STI acquired by us stands at Rs 330 crore. While 70% of the acquisition funds came from internal accruals, the rest was through debts from various organisations. We are planning to acquire one or two more global companies this year," said Dhanuka.Fusion CX provides customer care services for around 250 companies globally in sectors like electricity, telecom, water supply, healthcare, e-commerce and marketplaces. In Bengal, around 5,000 people are employed across its centres at Sector V, Ankurhati in Howrah, Kalyani, Durgapur and Siliguri."Our services include acquiring new customers, customer service, order fulfilment, payment collection, customer retention and technical support. One of our major clients in India is BSNL. Additionally, we handle the 1912 service for CESC and offer customer care services for the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company in north Bengal," said Kishore Saraogi, co-founder, MD and COO of Fusion CX.
