Fraud case against Soham

Kolkata: A lawsuit has been filed in the Calcutta High Court against actor Soham Chakraborty for allegedly taking Rs 68 lakh on the pretext of making a film and failing to either produce it or return the money.In 2021, a Rs 1 crore agreement was signed between Soham and Shahid Imam, who was earlier arrested in a school recruitment scam, to produce a film. Soham reportedly received Rs 68 lakh but the film was neither made nor the money returned.The court had earlier asked both parties to resolve the dispute through arbitration. But with the issue remaining unresolved, a fresh lawsuit was filed against Soham on several charges, including fraud. tnn
