Five persons injured in three accidents across Kolkata in 2 days

KOLKATA:

Five persons

were

injured

in three road accidents across the city on Friday and Saturday.


Three persons sustained head injuries at 11.30pm on Saturday when a

truck

hit their private car near Tagore Park crossing off EM Bypass. The injured, Biplab Saha and Bapan Mandal who were travelling in the car, and its driver Biplab Halder, were admitted to a nearby private hospital. In another accident on Saturday night, Snehasish Dutta was injured after a truck rammed into his two-wheeler on Syed Amir Ali Avenue. Dutta was rushed to a nearby hospital, which discharged him later.

The biker lodged a complaint with Karaya police station, stating that his vehicle was damaged by the truck running at a high speed from the side of Congress Exhibition Road, which is connected with Syed Amir Ali Avenue.

On Friday morning, Biswadip Ray had his left leg fractured after a private car collided with his motorbike near Vivekananda Udyan on AJC Bose Road. He was rushed to SSKM Hospital and his two-wheeler was also damaged. Following a complaint, the Hastings police launched a search for the car involved in the accident.
