KOLKATA: After a successful surgery,
veteran film-maker Buddhadeb Dasgupta
was discharged from a city nursing home on Tuesday evening.

Last Monday, the director had suffered a heart condition.The situation had turned critical and he had to be immediately shifted to a nursing home.
His
cardiologist Dr Dipankar Mukherjee
told TOI: "He had suffered from an intermittent complete heart block. We had a pacemaker installed. He is doing better now and will be leading a normal life within a few days." On being asked when the director is expected to get back to work, Mukherjee said, "I think he can resume work within a couple of days."
