dance show ananda shankar centre for performing arts organised the annual demonstration show on august 24, at science city auditorium. vasundhara raje, union minister of state for small scale industries and agro and rural industries, graced the occassion as chief guest. the choreography was by tanusree shankar and faculty members of the centre. the show comprised items like gourav gaan, little merry makers, vandevi, voyager, collage and ganga.sutanuti festival the 10th sutanuti festival will being celebrated till september 2 at sovabazar rajbari, the oldest building in the city, thakurbari of anath nath deb. organised by the sutanuti parishad, programmes include bengali songs, old kolkata and sutanuti bhoj. mother's picture on the occasion of mother teresa's birthday, here is remembering mother through ritu singh's paintings, the first painter in the world to have painted mother's portrait in 1969. the painting, samanvaya, has been done with mixed media on paper and depicts the mother bringing all the religions together. this painting was handed over to bill clinton on his india visit this time by sister nirmala for his endorsement.
