ED raids on realtor’s home, office

Kolkata: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday conducted raids on city-based realtor Abhijit Sen’s four premises in connection with its probe in Jharkhand, in which IAS officer Pooja Singhal is being questioned by the central investigating agency.
The ED officers on Wednesday raided the four places simultaneously, including Sen’s office near Deshapriya Park and his residence at Jodhpur Park.Having reached Sen’s another premise on Sarat Bose Road, the officers found the gate locked. As none opened it, they climbed up the gate and entered the building.
According to sources, Sen’s name cropped up when the ED started digging deeper into the MNREGA scam of Jharkhand. He was allegedly embezzling the MNREGA money and depositing the amount in his own accounts.
