Doc body slams Aug 9 Nabanna march call

Kolkata: The Association of Service Doctors (AHSD), which is part of the Joint Platform of Doctors, has termed the Nabanna Abhiyan by the leader of opposition a drama. "Why aren't they marching to CGO complex or South Block? People who remained silent during incidents from Manipur to Hathras and garlanded rapists of Bilkis Bano are talking of rape culture," said physician Subarna Goswami.He was responding to the media on the march scheduled on Aug 9, where the RG Kar victim's parents will be present. "The question is the motive of people who are trying to march with them," said physician Tamanash Chowdhury. General surgery professor Manas Gumta said the leader of opposition has not been heard talking about the incident in assembly. "We have our own events as part of our continued movement for justice," said orthopaedic surgery professor Utpal Banerjee.
