Rabeya had been suffering from fever for over a week, according to her family. Initially, she was admitted to the local Biswanathpur primary hospital. Once she tested positive for dengue, Rabeya was shifted to the

Barasat Hospital

on Tuesday. But her condition kept deteriorating. Her platelet dropped sharply and Rabeya’s organs were affected.

Late on Tuesday night, she was moved to the RG Kar Hospital. Rabeya passed away on Thursday morning.

With the deaths, the spread of dengue continued unabated in North Parganas. The district has recorded 28 deaths since September.

Namita Biswas had been suffering from fever since last Sunday. On Monday, she was shifted to the School of Tropical Medicine where she tested positive in an NSI 1 test. Her condition kept deteriorating sharply till her organs started failing. She passed away on Thursday.
