Court seeks report on Suvendu plaint

here has sought a report from the Amherst Street police station officer-in-charge in connection with a complaint lodged there against BJP leader

. The report has to be submitted by July 12.

“The complaint was lodged on May 11 after Adhikari made some communal statements in his speech. Since the complaint was not treated as an FIR, a complaint was lodged with the DC, North Suburban. We have filed an application with the ACMM II court on Thursday,” said petitioner’s lawyer Ayan Chakraborty.
