KOLKATA: The mysterious death of a 37-year-old supervisor at a complex in Alipore has sent cops into a tizzy. Though it looked like a suicide initially, there are several loose ends that are bothering the cops. Police have refused to arrive at a conclusion. They are now waiting for the autopsy report.
According to police sources, supervisor Raju Goenka had knocked on the seventh floor flat of one Rishi Raj (name changed) around 10am on Friday.

"Raj was not present at his flat, but his wife was there. Goenka fell to the adjoining garden and died on the spot," said an officer. Cops have failed to get in touch with Raj's wife but they claimed they were trying to establish contact with "everyone who matters" in this case.
"At present, all three options - accident, homicide and suicide - cannot be ruled out. The victim's family is yet to contact us," said an officer.
The police said they were trying to retrieve CCTV footage from the spot. "We will scan footages to find out how the incident took place. We plan to reconstruct the crime scene if required," added the officer. tnn
In the other incident, one Subrata Banerjee (40), a resident of Ram Chand Nandy lane and employed as a caretaker allegedly hanged himself using a stole inside his residence on Friday morning. According to the police, Banerjee was suffering from depression. He was a divorcee and has a 15-year-old son. The cops have already begun an inquest in to the proceedings.
