BEHRAMPORE: A 29-year-old woman has accused a senior Murshidabad policeman of harrassing her through lewd text messages demanding sexual favours.
Additional superintendent of police Mrinal Majumdar has denied all allegations against him.
The woman has lodged a complaint with the state DIG, the SP of Murshidabad and has even written to chief minister Mamata Banerjee and the human rights commission.

The woman accused Majumdar of sending her lewd SMSs and MMSs demanding sexual favours. He had also sent police to arrest her friend when he protested, she alleged.
The woman says she had met Majumdar at Behrampore court in June 2012, while her divorce case was on and that he helped her. Majumdar has a different version. "The woman came to my office sometime in October or November last year seeking help to get a divorce," he said. The woman says that Majumdar sent her the lewd messages even after she changed her SIM. "He got my new number and sent messages asking me to meet him at his bungalow. When a friend of mine protested, Majumdar sent cops to arrest him," she said.
"I had never sent her any SMS or MMS," said Majumdar. "I have no clue why her friend was arrested. She is probably levelling the allegations to shield herself from some other case."
The matter was being investigated, said Murshidabad SP Humayun Kabir.
