KOLKATA: Two extraordinary icons of Kolkata, who have been instrumental in paving the way for women on Indian Television,
Both Chaitali Dasgupta and Saswati Guhathakurta have set exemplary standards of communication on Indian television. The interaction with Sujoy Prosad Chatterjee, steering Conversations brought out the everlasting chemistry between them, the fights over programming during a trip down memory lane.
Speaking about the event, Sujoy Prosad Chatterjee said, "I thought of them at The Palms Restaurant because I wanted a generation to know about how both of them sustained their occupation and yet kept their art alive. Television anchoring has gone through a sea-change but the transition was created by these two ladies who almost ran a matriarchy in the media."
