KOLKATA: A five-member committee will probe into the Burrabazar fire that gutted property worth crores of rupees in the wee hours on Saturday, West Bengal Fire Services Minister Pratim Chatterjee said.
Chatterjee told newspersons that the committee would consist of senior officials of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation, fire services department and the police.
The committee, he said, would investigate into the cause and quick spread of the blaze and submit its report soon.
Meanwhile, a forensic probe into the incident had also been ordered, Chatterjee said.
