Citu gets new state secretary

KOLKATA: The Citu chose Dipak Dasgupta as its new general secretary at its state conference in Howrah. Dipak Dasgupta replaced Kali Ghosh.
However, Shyamal Chakraborty remained the president of this trade union wing of the CPM. Apart from the induction of Anadi Shau as the new treasurer, Citu inducted six new faces in the state committee. tnnEight old horses, including the former transport minister Ranjit Kundu, were dropped from the state committee on the ground of ill health and advanced age.
