CID probing ATM robbery in Asansol

ASANSOL: A three-member CID team from Kolkata led by DSP Swapan Sarkar visited the SBI ATM on S B Gorai Road which was looted on Monday afternoon. CID interrogated officials of the bank as well as the private company to get some leads on the incident. Locals were also questioned but so far police have received no clues.
On Monday afternoon, armed criminals had snatched a suitcase containing Rs 15 lakh which was to be stashed in the ATM.They had also shot two security guards who are still recovering from multiple bullet injury at a private hospital in Durgapur.
