CBI seeks AIIMS med board for coal case accused
Asansol: The CBI has requested a court order for setting up of a medical board at AIIMS for Vikas Mishra, an accused in the illegal coal mining case, who is suffering from liver ailments and is currently being treated at SSKM, Kolkata. The special CBI court is yet to respond to the plea.
“The CBI has pleaded for a board of doctors, either at AIIMS Kalyani or AIIMS Delhi, to monitor Mishra’s treatment.

The court has asked the agency to collect his medical reports,” Mishra’s lawyer Somnath Chattaraj said.
Mishra was granted interim bail on health grounds, but the CBI pleaded for bail cancellation and secured court nod to arrest him. After he was reportedly discharged from a hospital in Kolkata, he was taken to the one at Burdwan correctional facility. The authorities there, however, told the court on Wednesday that Mishra was at SSKM.
