Buddhadeb Dasgupta hospitalised

KOLKATA: Veteran director Buddhadeb Dasgupta has been admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of a city nursing home on Monday night. His daughter, though, said the filmmaker is expected to be released in a few days.
His daughter, Alokananda, rushed to Kolkata in the wee hours of Monday . “My husband and I flew down to Kolkata a couple of hours after my father got admitted.My elder sister, Rajeshwari, is here too. The doctors will take a call on a surgery on Saturday . He is expected to be home by Tuesday ,“ she said.On Monday evening, Dasgupta had suddenly collapsed while listening to music at his south Kolkata residence.
