BSF jawan’s wife back home after meet with Ferozepur CO

Rishra: The wife of Purnam Kumar Shaw, the BSF jawan still in the custody of Pakistan Rangers, has come back from the Ferozepur international border, after a meeting with the BSF commanding officer there. Rajani had gone to Ferozabad to get first-hand information about her husband's whereabouts. She took a flight back to Kolkata after BSF officers convinced her that staying in Ferozepur would serve little purpose and that the force was making all efforts to bring Shaw back. Rajani reached Rishra late on Thursday.Rajani told TOI that the meeting with the CO was satisfactory. "The officer told me that talks with Pakistan Rangers were underway and a resolution appeared to be on the horizon," she said. Officers assured there could be good news in a couple of days. BSF arranged for Rajani's transport from Ferozpur to Amritsar. She had travelled with her son, sisters and brother-in-law.
