Villagers said around Wednesday noon, Shilajit was going to work when two BSF jawans of 90 battalion allegedly blocked his path and asked him the names of smugglers staying in his village. The boy said he did not know any smuggler. But the jawans, apparently not satisfied with his answer, started beating him up. Some villagers rushed to the boys aid. Soon, a quarrel broke out and a BSF jawan allegedly fired at Shilajits back.
After the boy was hospitalised, villagers attacked a jawan with daggers. Senior officials from Domkal subdivision restored peace in the area after holding talks with BSF officers and villagers.
