Kolkata: A day after police confirmed the death of Behala transporter
Gautam Ghosh (62), officers have arrested all four accused, including his brother, named in the FIR by his wife. Ghosh allegedly died by suicide and his body was recovered from the Hooghly. He was missing since June 11 from his Sakherbazar residence. The accused have been charged for abetting the transporter’s suicide.
“All the three developers — Pritam Dutta,
Suman Mukherjee and Souvik Banerjee –and the victim’s brother, Tapan Ghosh, have been arrested.
They were produced in court and have been sent to police custody till June 20,”said an officer.
“It seems the primary issue was over a litigated property. Probe is on,” said DC (Behala) Soumya Roy. Cops have also recovered Ghosh’s missing phone and a purported suicide note from an old car in his garage.
