Kolkata: Police probing into the death of an app-cab driver, who was allegedly assaulted over a parking row in Bijoygarh, Jadavpur, have not been able to make any arrests as of Sunday evening.
The victim, Jayanta Sen, succumbed to his injuries at KPC Medical College and Hospital on Saturday, after being attacked on Wednesday night. Sen's family claims he was lynched by a group of men near his home. Despite the seriousness of the allegations, officials involved in the probe have remained tight-lipped.
The lack of arrests has left locals questioning why the police are yet to apprehend the attackers. The incident took place outside Sen's home where a group of men confronted him about his car allegedly knocking over a parked two-wheeler. The argument escalated, and the men attacked Sen, leaving him severely injured. tnn
