Bidya Bharati holds annual exhibition
KOLKATA:
Students from classes V to XI prepared for over a month to put up the displays on every subject, along with cultural events. The artists in the school put up portraits of women who have contributed to Bengali art and culture as a tribute. The history exhibition brought the Stone Age to life while the geography department put forward a number of interesting things, like satellite technology and remote sensing. The accounts department depicted how money could be saved at the post office. The girls also prepared models of the radiophone, telephone and telegraphic phone. The political science students set up a polling booth and even arranged for inking the fingers of those who took part in the mock voting. The

The girls from the Engish department put up a show, reading scenes from Shakespeare’s plays to bring the woman characters to life. Saint Kabir and his ‘dohas’ were the focus of the Hindi department’s exhibition and the art department put up paintings, photo-frames and paper-quelling portraits.
The mathematics department’s models explaining formulas from arithmetic, algebra and geometry made the subject seem easy and a special display was dedicated to the correlation between nature and mathematics drawn by Leonardo Da Vinci.
