Kolkata: Bengal on Tuesday picked 22 players for the upcoming Santosh Trophy campaign. The Biswajit Bhattacharya-managed side will fly out to Maharashtra on Thursday, hoping to get over the line this time after losing two finals in the past three seasons. The record 32-time champions held a short camp at Kalyani which concluded on Monday.
Bengal have been clubbed in Group D with hosts Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Daman & Dadra and Haryana. They will begin their campaign with a match against Haryana on Saturday. TNN
