ATM fraudsters nabbed

KOLKATA: Two residents of Haryana, who used to cheat Kolkata residents at various ATM kiosks across the city were arrested by the Port division police on Wednesday morning from their temporary hideout just when they were planning to flee the city.

Forty-two ATM cards have been recovered from the accused - Md Ashfaque and Md Haseen alias Haseen Khan - along with Rs 5,000 in cash, said joint CP (crime) Shankha Subhra Chakrabarty.

Cops said the two had come to Kolkata, rented a flat, and tried to commit crimes. “We are trying to ascertain the number of crimes they were involved in,” said an officer from Nadial PS that carried out the arrest.
