Two held for ₹60L fraud cases

Kolkata: Two persons have been arrested for being involved in about Rs 60 lakh fraud in the city in separate cases. In 2021, the owner of a Amherst street-based security agency alleged that he was duped of Rs 46.7 lakh by his employee Sanjay Ghosh on the pretext of selling a land in Nadia. Ghosh was arrested from Narayanpur near Baguiati after two years. In the second case, businessman Anuj Kumar, who had borrowed Rs 15 lakh from a firm didn’t pay all instalments, was held from Gaya. Meanwhile, the bank fraud section nabbed Md Fahad Ansari of Metiabruz, Prasenjit Ghosh of New town, Palash Biswas of Airport area, Ajay Majumdar of Haridevpur and Kaushik Banerjee of Dasnagar for allegedly duping the bank of Rs 1.1 crore.
