Another death on Metro tracks

KOLKATA: A 23-year-old youth was run over and killed at Rabindra Sarobar Metro station on Friday evening. It is not yet clear if Sk Salauddin committed suicide or fell on the tracks after suffering an epileptic fit. Services between Maidan and Tollygunge stations were disrupted from 7.15 pm to 8.10 pm.
Salauddin, a resident of the Charu Market area, was an AC mechanic by profession.He was the youngest of three brothers. Family members told police that they knew of no reason for which Salauddin should want to kill himself. He was an epileptic and suffered frequent fits, in spite of treatment. They suspect that he fell on the tracks even as a Down train towards Tollygunge was entering the platform.
