There were aplethora of ideas to transform the socio-economic fabric of life at thetwo-day-long technology festival organised by Bengal Engineering College (DeemedUniversity), Shibpur.“The programme had been designed primarily tokindle the spirit of innovation, creativity and competitiveness on a globallevel among the student community. Such an approach is a prerequisite forcreating an academic ambience that may, in the long run, catalysetechnology-driven economic development of the country,� said Amal JyotiSengupta, Vice-Chancellor.Lauding the students’ efforts, A.K. Ghosh,professor-in-charge of students’ activities, said: “It’s beenjust three years since IT as a subject has been introduced. And our students arecompetent enough to match with any IT institution in the country.�
