781 students felicitated for scholarship test
Kolkata: The Primary Education Development Board organised a programme on Sunday at Presidency University’s Derozio Hall to felicitate meritorious students. Scholarships were given to 781 students. Of them, 125 got Rs 1,200 each and 656 were awarded Rs 600 each. The state-wide scholarship exam at the end of class IV was held from October 12-17, 2022 and had 1,52,204 examinees taking the test at 2,200 centres. The subjects included vernaculars, mathematics, social sciences, science and English. Soumyojit Paul from Cooch Behar Sarada Sishu Tirtha stood first and was awarded the Sushil Kumar Mukhopadhyay award, two books and Rs 1,200 in cash.Four students received silver medals, books and Rs 1,200, while Ariyan Mandal from Murshidabad won a bronze medal, books and Rs 1,200.
