Kolkata: An 11-year-old girl in Baguiati was allegedly raped multiple times by five minor boys from the same locality and kept under constant threat for over three months, police said on Monday.
Acting on a complaint lodged by the mother of the class-5 student, cops picked up the five boys and produced them before a juvenile justice board on Sunday, which sent them to a shelter home.

According to the complaint, the woman learnt about the repeated torture of the girl after the girl fell ill and complained of severe bleeding and pain in her private parts on Saturday.
"She began questioning the girl, who initially hesitated but later opened up to her mother about the prolonged torture by the group of boys, all aged between 15 and 17," an officer said.
The woman came to the police station with details of the boys and lodged a complaint. Officers immediately started a case under BNS sections 64 (rape) and 351(2) (criminal intimidation), and sections 4, 6 and 8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act.
The girl's mother, pleaded for "justice" in the complaint.
She wrote: "These youths repeatedly conducted sexual torture on my daughter at different places over the past three months and constantly intimidated and threatened her. I want those guilty to get exemplary punishment for their actions."
Cops said they conducted a medical examination of the girl, who is still in acute pain and trauma. She is under treatment for severe injuries to her private parts, police said.
