3 held for raping woman inside car in Debra

DEBRA (W MIDNAPORE): Three men were arrested for the gangrape of a young woman in Debra. The survivor, a resident of Kolkata, was allegedly lured with the promise of a job.

According to sources, the survivor had met one of the accused on Facebook. The accused, who works at a hotel in East Midnapore, told the accused he would get her a job. In the 2nd week of March, the survivor travelled to meet him. As she reached Balichak station, the accused allegedly pushed her into a car. The three then raped her inside the moving vehicle. The survivor somehow managed to escape and filed a complaint at Debra PS.

The three have been arrested and were produced in court on Saturday. They have been given jail custody for 14 days.
