2 Nigerians jailed for fraud

Kolkata: Two Nigerians, Okafor Francis Chukwudi (30) and Okafor Andrew Chinonso (24), have been jailed for three years for online fraud. The duo used to pose as American women on social media and cheat people on the pretext of sending them expensive gifts. They thendemanded money to pay customs duty to get the items released.“Since their arrest in December 2019, they were behind bars,” an officer said, indicating their conviction period is over and they may be released soon. - Ayan Mukherjee & Ayan Dawn
