Kolkata: The state government is planning to spend over Rs 19.4 crore on facility management services at 42 newly constructed superspecialty hospitals across the state. The health department has already got the administrative approval for the amount.
The hospitals are spread across different districts, except Kolkata. While 36 of these hospitals have 300 beds each, the rest six have the capacity of 500 beds.
Officials said the step was taken to ensure quality health services to patients of districts so that they do not have to travel to Kolkata. tnn
