Twelve TMC members, led by Pintu Yadab, had brought the no-confidence notice against pradhan

Rahman over alleged financial irregularities. The signatories were called by the BDO for verification. As soon as they reached the BDO office, an armed gang abducted 11 members. They were allegedly led by youth TMC leader Ashraful Haque. Violence erupted between two groups before police reached the spot.

BDO Bijay Giri conceded that the members were abducted from his office. “Police are looking at CCTV footage,” he said.
