1 killed, 4 injured in four accidents

Kolkata: A biker was killed and four other persons were injured in four accidents across the city between Saturday night and Sunday.Soumik Chatterjee (31), a resident of Uttarpara collided with a bicyclist, Vasgit Roy (45) of Garia on EM Bypass near Patuli crossing around 1pm on Sunday and suffered multiple injuries. The two were taken to Baghajatin state general hospital where Chatterjee was declared dead on arrival. Roy was shifted to Calcutta National Medical College and Hospital with a fracture in his left hand.Purna Samanta (45) while walking along DH Road around 1 pm was hit by a taxi near Behala 14 no. bus stand and suffered head injuries.Sourav Modak (28) riding a scooter, was injured when another scooter hit him on DH Road near Bacher Para crossing in Thakurpukur around 1am. Around 11pm on Saturday, a pedestrian, Jashoda Roy (65) was injured when a vehicle hit her on Ahiritola Street and fled.
