, which wanted to know the reason behind the delay in investigation into the case.

The delegation met district collector Avinash Subhedar at his office on Thursday afternoon. "When police have the capacity to nab the accused involved in Pansare murder case why they have not done so? No information has been shared with us regarding the progress of investigation into the case," Patil said. "After the last investigating officer was transferred to Sangli, investigation into the case has not progressed much. The government should appoint a special investigating team to look into the case.

The government should also appoint a full-time investigating officer," he said. “Posters of the accused should be pasted in all police stations in the state and at other places so that people can help police with information about them,” he said. "I will convey the message to the state government and higher authorities on a priority basis regarding appointment of SIT and special investigating officer as these issues are not in my hand.

I have asked for approval from higher authorities and once we get approval, the team will soon start operation to find the accused," Mohite said. The local court hearing Pansare murder case has already issued a proclamation order and standing non-bailable warrant against Akolkar and Pawar.
