KOLHAPUR: Several parts of
Kolhapur
city’s E ward will
face water cuts
for three days starting from Friday.
The Kolhapur Municipal Corporation (KMC) is going to undertake the work of fitting cross-connection to the main pipeline supplying drinking water from Kawala Naka high rise tank to the elevated areas of Temblai, Territorial Army centre,
Vikram Nagar
and
Jamsandekar Mala
.
Ajay Jadhav, the chief hydraulic engineer of KMC said, “The cross-connection will help improve water supply to several other areas of the E ward. We have estimated to complete the work in three days. Therefore, the citizens from these localities of the E ward must use water carefully. We will, however, ensure the supply using water tankers.”
The water supply will be normalised from Monday if the work gets completed within the schedule, he said.
