KOLHAPUR: The 28th industrial circle level Quality Control competition held at the regional level was organised by the CII (Confederation of Indian Industries), Maharashtra unit on September 9. In all, 25 teams from leading manufacturing organisations across the state including Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Ahmadnagar and Kolapur participated in the contest.
Among the competitions, Minda Industries stood first, followed by Century Rayon, Mumbai and Trio Enterprises in Kolhapur.
Addressing the gathering, Yogesh Kulkarni, vice-chairman, CII, Southern Maharashtra Zonal Council said, “CII plays a major role in promotion of quality control circles in the Indian industrial sector. The top managements in all organisations should adopt the quality control circle movement. Indian people have the urge to excel and compete with the global market and organisations should give more liberty to quality circles for overall profits for the company.”
Bababhai Vasa, the chief guest at the function, said, “Innovation should be the new mantra and quality should be everybody’s motive on both the personal and professional front. Efforts made to improve quality, converts ‘doers’ into ‘thinkers’ and takes things closer to perfection.”
