Mother booked for sex assault on minor girl in Kolhapur

KOLHAPUR: The city police have booked a mother and her male friend for allegedly sexually assaulting the woman’s minor daughter and forcing her to have a sexual relationship with the man.
Activists of Avani Sanstha, an NGO in Kolhapur, received information that a girl was hiding in her school friend's house, crying and refused to leave.
The activists after taking the girl into confidence found out that her mother and the mother’s friend were forcing her to have a relationship with the man and were harrassing her.This started a when she rcently moved from her relatives house to live with her mother. The police have booked the mother and the man under sections 354, 363, 376 of the Indian Penal Code and sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act as well.
