Missing trader’s body found in Kolhapur

KOLHAPUR: A Hatkanangle-based 34-year-old timber merchant’s body was found buried at a farm in Patpanhala village of

demanding Rs 15 lakh ransom for his release a few days back. However, when there was no response from the family, Patel’s phone, which was used to demand the ransom, was switched off and hidden in the seat of a state transport bus. It was was found by a couple.

Based on call records and location details, a Kolhapur local crime branch team visited

taluka and got a tip off that some people had buried a body in a farm. Four people who knew Patel have been arrested.
