After discussing the idea, Satara’s district guardian minister Vijay Shivtare has agreed to release funds of Rs 56 lakhs from the state coffers. The funds and will be utilised once the plan is ready.
Faras said, “Along with the restoration of the tomb of Tararani, we have decided to develop the temples of Shivaji Maharaj and Tararani located in Nursery Baug area of the city through the funds of KMC. We will meet the concerned authorities and public representatives of Satara district to join for restoring the tomb of Tararani.”
Faras added that the stones required for restoring the tomb will be taken in the city and transported to Satara along with a procession rally.
The organisations have also demanded that old painting of Tararani should be placed in all the municipal corporations of the state. “I will head the committee which will have representatives of all the organisations, historians and architects,” Faras said.
