Actor Sushant Shelar new ABMCM president

KOLHAPUR: Actor Sushant Shelar has been elected new president of Akhil Bhartiya Marathi Chitrapat Mahamandal (ABMCM) after he got maxium votes during the meeting of the body’s board of directors held on Wednesday at a private hotel in Kolhapur.

During the meeting former president Meghraj Rajebhosle was removed from his post while membership of all the 14 former directors was unanimously retained.

Vice-president of ABMCM Dhanaji Yamkar said, “Rajebhosle’s term was controversial from last the three years. He did not arrange a meeting of the directors even when the term had expired a year ago. Due to this work of ABMCM was almost on a standstill.”
