Achievement award for child rights activist

Kolhapur: Renowed activist and the founder of the Avani Sanstha, Anuradha Bhosale, has been conferred the first Bhaskar Lala Pawar Lifetime Achievement Award on Sunday.
The award was handed over by Ravi Godse, a renowned physician from America.
Bhosale works for the child labourers, orphans, and the destitute and helps them get food, clothing, shelter, and education, said Suraj Pawar, an oncologist and chairman of Kolhapur Cancer Centre.
The award is named after late Bhaskar Lala Pawar, who had laid the foundation of Kolhapur Cancer Centre, which is now serving cancer patients from Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Goa. The award was instituted by the Kolhapur Cancer Centre and the Chhatrapati Shahu Cancer Research Foundation.
